Our namesake, Dr. M Visveswaraya was born in Kolar District of Mysore on 15th September, 1861. A Philosopher and educationist, he is recognised worldwide as one of the finest brains of modern India. Perfectly honest and devoted to his work, he was one who set new standards of efficiency. We continue his inspirational spirit at Visveswaraya, adapting, developing and inspiring new offerings for our students to focus on the needs of modern industry. His birthday is celebrated as 'Engineers day' all over India. It's no wonder that we named our Institute after such a dynamic personality.
